Kherson Oblast, Shpindiyar lowering
Long-billed Dowitcher (Limnodromus scolopaceus) is a new species in the avifauna of Ukraine. Yuriy Kodrul and Mykola Zmievsky saw the bird in the Shpyndiyar pod ("pod" - gently sloping closed drainless lowering of the relief) in the Kherson region. This North American sandpiper lasted in the place of observation until May 12. O. Sapuga, O. Komarovsky and V. Rudenko also managed to see it. Congrats!

A low quantitative, periodically nesting species. 2 consecutive observations in the south of Ukraine: the first bird was found in the evening of May 8 by Yuriy Kodrul and Mykola Zmievsky in the Shpindiyarsky Pod in the Kherson region. The next morning, another bird was seen by Oleksiy Zolotov in the lower reaches of the Tylihul estuary.
